Mrs. StewartHi! I'm Mrs. Stewart. This is my 8th year of teaching 3rd grade at St. Ambrose, and this year is a "year of change!" I'm teaching 5th, 6th and 8th grade Math, and Math and Language Arts for 3rd grade. Also, I'm not only a teacher here, but now a St. A parent as well! I have daughters in kindergarten and preschool! I hope everyone has a successful and fun year with me!!

Wednesday, September 8th:

*I'm changing my format a bit...bare with me!

All Math assignments are as follows:

5th-none

8th-Algebra-none

4th-none

6th-complete pg.54 in text, all but Set C, and do 49 + 50 on pg.55 (test will be Friday)

All other assignments:

5/6th Reading:  read pgs.108-121 in Dear Mr. Henshaw and complete Section 9 questions.

                        There are 5 students who need to finish the rough draft of the "body" to their author letter

5/6th Science:  test on Friday

5/6th Religion:  do pg.55

6th Social Studies:  complete #17-24 on the study guide

*The spice sale is OFFICIALLY over!!  Great job...it sounds like most of you met your goal!

Homework for tonight:

5th:  finish up Sect. 8 questions for Reading, as well as the monarch butterfly internet questionnaire

       complete workbook pg. 17 for English, and if you'd like a little Extra Credit, do worksheet 18 (on back of 17)

       do PW14 for Math

       in Social Studies, define vocab. terms 7-9

       do pgs.52+53 in the text for Religion

      Study for Science test, which is tomorrow

6th:  complete Section 8 questions and the monarch butterfly Internet questionnaire for Reading

       do workbook pg.15 for English

       do pgs.52+53 in Religion text

       study for Science test tomorrow

       for Math, do #1-6 on PW worksheet (*you must show each step and label, circle final answer)

                       CW for Extra Credit

       complete Social Studies study guide 1-16 for tomorrow

 

*Book orders due on Friday!

**Don't forget, those without any dresscode infractions may wear their uniform shirt with jeans tomorrow!  (there are 3 who won't participate this time due to violations)

5th & 6th grade homework (combined subjects)

Reading:  make a list of 6-10 ways in which you could catch a lunchbox thief, and write a rough draft of an introduction paragraph for your author's letter

 

5th:

Math:  PW11 and CW11 extra credit

English:  worksheet pgs. 13+14

Social Studies:  define vocab. terms 1-6

 

6th:

Math:  pg.50+51, #3-27

English:  worksheet pg.17

Social Studies:  finish 3 facts about person (in class activity)

 

*Reminders:  6th graders only have 2 more days to sell spices...SELL, SELL, SELL!!!!

Hello, All!  I apologize it's taken me so long to get homework posted on here!  :)

Math-ch.2 test signed (great scores!!)                             Math-PW11

Science- do pgs. 209+211, #1-2 on both                        Science-same as 5th grade (look to left)
